PURPOSE:To accelerate the traverse speed and to shorten the access time by switching a switch to a 1st traverse signal detector with a low traverse speed and to a 2nd traverse signal detector with a high traverse speed respectively. CONSTITUTION:A 1st traverse signal detectors 61 detects an envelope waveform in a 1st detecting band in response to the traverse of a high frequency signal and obtains a traverse pulse. A 2nd traverse signal detectors 52 has its signal detecting band at a higher side of that the detector 51. These two detectors 51 and 52 are switched to each other for application. Thus a traverse pulse is obtained for control from a proper traverse signal detector in response to the traverse speed. Then it is possible to set the traverse speed at a high level and to shorten the access time.
