PURPOSE:To inexpensively constitute an equipment and to obtain a satisfactory picture quality by expanding the time base of a video signal and AM-modulating and transmitting the video signal thereafter in the transmission side and applying AGC to the transmission signal and compressing the time base after AM detection to obtain the video signal in the reception side. CONSTITUTION:In a transmission equipment 100, a video signal SVA having 0-1.5MHz frequency band has the time base expanded by a field memory 3 to become a video signal SVB having 0-1000Hz frequency band. 2kHz carrier synchronized with a clock signal LCLK is supplied to an AM modulator 6 to AM-modulate the video signal, and a transmission signal STR having 1000-3000Hz frequency band is generated. In a reception equipment 200, the transmission signal STR has the level controlled by an AGC amplifier 24 and is detected by an AM detector 25, and a signal SVC is obtained from a low pass filter 26. Since the video signal has the time base expanded and is AM- demodulated and is transmitted to the reception equipment side in this manner, the transmission efficiency is good and the equipment is inexpensively constituted. |
