PURPOSE:To make a workpiece machinable safely at high speed without contaminating it, by installing a fin for air cooling, in a housing to be fitted in an outer ring of a bearing. CONSTITUTION:A fin 2a is installed in a housing to be fitted in an outer ring 1a of a ball bearing 1 or a shaft bearing. With this installation, heat to be generated at the bearing 1 is cooled in a way of letting it escape to the air from the fin 2a, so that a workpiece is in no case contaminated by oil and water during cutting operations, and a machining rate is sharply improved as compared with the conventional spindle head using a grease-sealed type bearing.
