Water containing plant food flows through the long channels (1). Centrally along the bases of the channels is an air line (9) with a large number of small holes through which air bubbles rise to come into contact with the plant root systems. - The throughflowing water passes along the channels and is collected in a tank (12) from which water is then again conducted through a filter (13) to a plant food tank (14) for a replacement supply in compensation for that absorbed by the plants. The water is then pumped into the channels, in which are movable plant supports (2) holding plant pots (6) at a suitable level in relation to the water level in the channels. |
