PURPOSE:To eliminate the erroneous detection of synchronous data by executing the code allotment so that the same data pattern as that of the synchronizing data can not occur in information data when an information signal is coded. CONSTITUTION:Image data inputted from an input terminal 1 is encoded to the data of 8 bits mentioned later by an encoder 2. For the encoding, when the encoding is executed so that the same data pattern as that of the synchronous data cannot occur in an encoded image data column, the encoding is executed so as not to allot a prescribed data pattern (8 bits). A synchronizing detecting circuit 7 detects the generating position of the synchronous data of 16 bits from the supplied data column. Since the same code pattern as that of the synchronizing data does not occur in the data column except the synchronous data at the data column to be supplied, the generating position of the synchronous data can be correctly detected. |
