PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration of the electrostatic chargeability of a sensitive body due to fatigue by pre-exposure as well as to increase the sensitivity by using polyethylene glycol as a resin binder for an electric charge generating substance. CONSTITUTION:An under coat layer 5, an electric charge generating layer 1 and an electric charge transferring layer 2 are successively laminated on an electrically conductive supporting body 3. The layer 1 is composed of an electric charge generating substance such as an azo pigment and polyethylene glycol as a resin binder. The resin binder may be used in combination with other resin binder as required. The layers 1, 2 may be laminated in the reverse order and may be directly formed on the supporting body 3. A single layer type photosensitive may be formed in place of the layers 1, 2. Since the polyethylene glycol binder is used, a sensitive body having high sensitivity and hardly undergoing the deterioration of the electrostatic chargeability due to fatigue by pre-exposure is obtd. The electrostatic charge potential of the sensitive body is not reduced by repeated electrostatic charge. |
