PURPOSE:To make it possible to widen favorable viewing angle range by forming a fluorescent screen on a front panel in an image display device where the display part of a flat cathode-ray tube is set in the display part of the housing. CONSTITUTION:A front panel 13 obliquely intersecting the axis of the neck part 10 with an electron gun built-in is set in connection to the cone part. This panel 13, on which a fluorescent screen is formed, is arranged in the window 3 of the housing so as to be in the same plane as the front face of the housing. Such arrangement as this, therefore, is able to widen favorable viewing angle range in comparison with the case that a fluorescent screen is set on a neck part separately from the front panel, resulting in making the display screen easy to see.
