PURPOSE:To improve accuracy of machining in a corner part, by providing the first control unit controlling a machining speed to be locked to a predetermined value by signals of the first and second discriminators and the second control unit switching a servo gain in an out-corner part from the signal of the second discriminator. CONSTITUTION:During finish machining, a control unit 16, by a signal of the second discriminator 14, switches a servo gain so as to be high increased in an out-corner part. In this way, a machine, rapidly increasing a machining speed in a linear part immediately before change of direction, reduces an overhung amount. After a wire electrode 1 passes through the linear part immediately before the change of direction, the machining speed further rises, but here a control unit 13, by signals of the first and second discriminators 12, 14, controls the machining speed to be locked so that it is prevented from increasing to a predetermined value or more when the machining speed reaches the predetermined value. Consequently, the machine, which decreases the machining speed promptly in the linear part immediately after the change of direction in an edged part, generates no overshoot and no overhung and undercut as in the past.
