A foam-backed article, in particular a foam-backed upholstery part, is described, which has a core (30) of plastic foam and a covering (20, 26), an air-impermeable film (32) being provided between the core and covering. At least one surface-section of the covering is formed in a double-layered manner from a flexible layer (26) and leather (20), the flexible layer being adjacent to the film (32) and the leather (20) forming the outside of the covering.
