PURPOSE:To improve dispersion of a coloring agent and charge control agent and to obviate offsetting of a toner by kneading the coloring agent and wax with strong shearing force in a 1st stage, then mixing a resin therewith. CONSTITUTION:The colored chips obtd. by the stages including the 1st stage for kneading the coloring agent, the wax and if necessary, the charge control agent under the high shearing force exerted to the mixture in the molten state of the wax and the 2nd stage for kneading the kneaded matter obtd. in the 1st stage, the resin and if necessary, other additives under the shearing force weaker than in the 1st stage exerted thereto are used. The coloring agent, the charge control agent, etc., are sufficiently dispersed under the high shearing force together with the wax in the 1st stage in such a manner, then the resin is added to the mixture and the mixture is subjected to the weak kneading by which the cutting of the molecular chains of the resin is obviated. The offsetting of the toner is, therefore, prevented. |
