Combined punch and stapler device which is based on an office punch and under whose manually actuable pivoting plate there is provided one of the two essential components of a stapling device, namely the ram spring and the staple-holding device. The staple-forming device is provided on the base part of the punching device so as to be adjustable in such a way that it can be displaced relative to the staple holder into an inoperative position for a "punching" operation and into an operative position for a "stapling" operation. The object of the invention is a constructive arrangement aimed at cost-effective manufacturing of such an apparatus.
