The packing of bags as a block, and process for the manufacture of packs of plastic bags to form a block, said bags having welded dividing side seams, an approximately sinusoidal carrying edge, pierced handle holes reinforced with strengthening sheets and, on one side of the bag, block-formation sections, detachable by means of a series of perforations which join the bags to the pack and allow them to be torn from it. For manufacture in pairs, a sheet of tubular film (1) is spread flat and cut along its centre, either straight or sinusoidally, to produce the bag, and the two halves of the sheet (1a, 1b) are switched, each being passed to the other's transport track, so that the edges of the opening (11) which had formerly passed only the middle of the transport track now pass along the outer edges; circular sections (6) are cut from the upper layer of the sheet, working from the open upper edge, so that the block-formation sections (9) are formed on the lower layer of the sheet (10b). |
