Device for cutting bolts and metal strips with two half-pliers (11, 12) connected to each other by, and pivoting about, a connecting pin (3), each comprising a cutting jaw (9, 10) with a handle (1, 2) and a cutting edge (5, 6), whereby both cutting jaws (9, 10) are located at different distances from the axis (8) of the connecting pin (3) and when operated in the directions of movement (X, Y) may be moved relative to each other in such a way that their opposing and mutually contacting cutting edges (5, 6) move past each other in a scissors-like motion. In another embodiment of the device according to the invention, the region of the cutting edge of the cutting jaw is divided over approximately half its length in such a way that one half has the form of a cutting edge and the other half has the form of a holding, drawing, bending or binding edge, which so far as possible should not cut. This embodiment of the invention incorporates an effective cutting tool as well as a holding, drawing, bending or binding tool in a single tool. |
