Force conversion device with a wedge element supported hydrostatically between a support and a force introduction element, the wedge element being externally cylindrical and, in its interior, having a cylindrical recess which is open at least at one end of the force introduction element and the centre line B of which runs at an angle to the centre line A of the force introduction element, and being supported hydrostatically in a cylindrical recess in the force introduction element, the centre line A of the wedge element running perpendicular to the direction of the force introduction, and a supporting core, which forms the support, being supported hydrostatically in the cylindrical recess in the wedge element.
