The subject matter of the invention is constituted by apparatuses for shuttering end surfaces of panel-like and wall-like reinforced-concrete structural parts, as well as processes to produce construction and expansion joints, in particular watertight joints using sealing strips, and cavities by means of these apparatuses. According to the invention, the apparatuses are composed of a mechanically or pneumatically or hydraulically expanding core part, arranged between the reinforcement layers, of the border parts, securing the concrete covering, between reinforcement and shuttering, and of sealing elements which are arranged between border and core part in the region of the reinforcement. For the pneumatically and hydraulically expanding core parts, the invention proposes inflatable bodies comprising a flexible sheath which simultaneously adopts the function of the sealing element. For the sheath, use is made of two-ply fabrics which can only be inflated to a limited extent under the inflation pressure because the two webs of the two-ply fabric guarantee the fixed web spacing by means of pile threads woven into the two-ply fabric. Inflatable bodies comprising two-ply fabrics contribute to shuttering for joints, shuttering installations and cavities being producible in a very simple and cost-effective manner, this improving the commercial viability.
