PURPOSE:To discharge muck without releasing compressed air by a method in which a carrying leading to an operation chamber is provided in a casing formed on the operation chamber, a shield means is provided in a freely opening or closing manner for an atmospheric pressure part, and a muck carrying means is provided in the carrying chamber. CONSTITUTION:The inside of an operation chamber 3 is excavated under a compressed air condition and muck 21 is collected in a position facing a carrying port 2c. The rope of an elevator 11 is sent out, a cylinder bucket 12 is lowered and landed on muck 21, and the muck 21 is packed into the bucket 12. The rope 11 is wound up, a geared trolley 10 is moved to the direction of arrow D, and the bottom of the bucket 12 is closely brought in contact with a seal mat 13. A slide gear 15 is moved to open a discharge port 6f, a pressure regulating chamber 6b is filled with atmospheric air, and the bottom of the bucket 12 is opened. Muck 21 is dropped on a discharge conveyer 17 and carried to a muck yard 19.
