<p>An apparatus for manufacturing tubular bags has a tubular moulding arrangement (12, 13), a transverse sealing device (17) for separating the bags (3) and a cyclic device for advancing the bags. To lengthen the sealing time and to form a base for the bag, the device for advancing the bags incorporates a system for to and fro movement of the transverse sealing device (17) and rotating conveyor belts (15, 16), whereby the transverse sealing device and the conveyor belts are driven in synchronization in order to advance the tube (2) by one bag length at a time.</p> |
