The invention relates to a heating cost distributor for the purpose of calculating and distributing the heat consumption especially for apartment buildings in which several households are supplied from one common central heating system. As data transmitter for the heat consumption of a heating element, according to the invention a thermoplastic body is used, which is deformed plastically in a defined way under the simultaneous influence of the heating element heat and a mechanical prestress, whereby the plastic deformation serves as a measure of the heat consumption. The special advantages of the invention consist mainly of a greater measurement accuracy and smaller dimensions than customary heating cost distributors.
