<p>Known securing devices employ screw connections which render said devices unsuitable for underground work, as the screw thread corrodes very easily, special tools are required to separate the chain carrier from the chain, and the screw thread is very easily damaged, rendering the chain link useless. In order to avoid using this expensive securing device, a wedge-type system for locking the chain link (3, 3a) in the chain carrier (2, 2a) whereby the wedges (4, 7) differ fundamentally from known securing devices, is arranged in the direction of advance of the traction member.</p> |
