In electric tools for metal machining, in particular grinders, the mains current may be transmitted in spite of the protecting insulation to metallic parts of the housing via leakage paths formed by ground particles, thus endangering the operator. The present electric tool is provided with a protecting switch against fault currents which separates the apparatus from the mains when fault currents occur, for example when currents affect the operator. The electric tool is thus safe for its operators. |
