[Also in Division G3] The fuel flow to a fuel nozzle 32 is controlled by a fluid amplifier 18 having a fuel inlet 20 and a splitter member 30 proportioning the fuel between outlets 26, 28, leading respectively to the nozzle 32 and to a fuel reservoir, in accordance with the suction of the venturi 16. The splitter member 30 has either a stepped edge 40...46, Fig. 2, or an arcuate edge 30<SP>11</SP>, Figs. 4 and 5, whereby a non-linear increase in fuel supply to nozzle 32 with increasing venturi suction is obtained. A bias port 34, normally closed by a suction-actuated diaphragm 48, opens at highpower outputs, when the suction downstream of throttle valve 14 is low, to increase the mixture richness.</p> |
