PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a platform scale and to decrease the number of components by forming a load transmitting means of two load transmission plates in an isosceles triangle shape, and installing detection parts at respective end parts sandwiched between equilateral sides of the load transmission plates. CONSTITUTION:A load transmitting means which transmits the load on a measurement table to a detection part 12 is formed of the two load transmission plates 13 and 14 in the isosceles triangle shape and the weight is measured from displacement proportional to the load at the detection part 12. Those transmission plates 13 and 14 have enough strength to withstand the load on the measurement table even when the thickness is made thin, so the thickness of the platform scale can be reduced. Further, the platform scale is formed of the two transmission plates, so the number of components can be decreased.
