<p>An alternating current generator (10) with a rotor (20) comprising claw-type poles is suggested, the magnetic noise of which is reduced as a result of the special design of the outer surfaces (43) of the claw-type poles (28, 29); neither the energy losses nor the cost of the alternating current generator are increased by such claw-type poles (28, 29). The claw-type poles (28, 29) have - viewed in the direction of rotation of the pole rotor (20) - a multistep transition from their outer surfaces (43) to the rear edge (52), each step being formed by a flat surface (50, 51); preferably two or three such flat surfaces (50, 51) are used.</p> |
