The same or different articles are sequentially manufactured according to a predetermined program in apparatus comprising cutting, punching, folding and forming machines having adjustable parts. Each machine is controlled according to the size of stock material supplied to it so that the adjustable parts of that machine are adjusted and then operated to perform the desired operation on the particular stock material in position on that machine. The articles may be cabinets for white goods and control is by a microcomputer or programmable computer.
