PURPOSE:To speedup writing/reading operation for data transfer by dividing a memory area in a dual port RAM into two areas and using a memory array having doubled word lines and data lines. CONSTITUTION:The memory area is divided into two areas so that writing is enabled from one processor MPUA side to one memory area MA, reading is enabled from other memory area MB, writing is enabled from the other processor MPUB side to the other memory area MB, and reading is enabled from one memory area MA. The memory arrays having doubled word lines WA, WB and data lines DA, DB is used so that selecting operation can be independently executed from two processors to one memory cell. Consequently, reading and writing can be simultaneously executed and speeded up.
