PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR MOUNTING PARTS INTO PLUG HOUSINGS

A process and device are disclosed for mounting contact parts into plug housings by means of a gripper that grips a contact part with its lead and inserts it into the plug housing. The process comprises the following steps: the gripper grips the contact part by its lead, a constraining guide is positioned between the gripper and the point where the contact part is introduced into the plug housing, the gripper moves in the direction of the plug housing and insert into the plug housing the contact part previously centered by the constraining guide. This enables contact parts to be mounted in a flexible and automatic way even when the positioning is relatively inaccurate.
