PURPOSE:To cancel misconvergence by making one of a normal winding portion and a reverse winding portion of auxiliary coils, which compose an auxiliary magnetic field generation means, connected in parallel with two diodes which are connected in opposite polarities to each other. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary coils 20, which compose a pair of auxiliary magnetic field generation means 15 and 16 where auxiliary magnetic fields are added to beams generated by central electron guns B, G, and R, are composed of a normal winding portion 20a and a reverse winding portion 20b which are reversely related to each other in their winding directions. One of the normal winding portion and the reverse winding portion is connected in parallel with two diodes 22 and 23 which are connected in their opposite polarities to each other. The amount of auxiliary magnetic fields, which are generated by the auxiliary coils 20 and react to the central beams, is varied between at the central part and at the up-and-down part by making the diodes 22 and 23 be in states of continuity and discontinuity depending on the amount of currents flowing in the auxiliary coils 20. Accordingly, misconvergence whose ratio at the central part of the screen is different from that at the up-and-down part can be canceled over the whole region of the screen.
