PURPOSE:To extremely facilitate the manufacture of an ultrasonic vibrator and to improve the arrangement precision of respective constituting parts of a transmitting part and a receiving part and so on by cutting the transmitting receiving part of the vibrator after a piezo-electric element is adhered to an acoustical absorbent. CONSTITUTION:The respective constructing parts are shaped under a state that the piezo-electric element is adhered to the acoustical absorbent 22. Namely, the piezo-electric element is cut by a cutting machine or the like so as to be separated into the transmitting part 20a, the receiving part 20b and a shading plate (isolator) 20c. For instance, the width of the shading plate 2c is made to be more or less 0.8 mm, and slit widths between the shading plate 20c, and the transmitting part 20a and the receiving part 20b are made to be more or less 0.05-0.08 mm. In this case, the shading palate 20c is due to be formed by the piezo-electric element, which has electrodes at its both surfaces, but because the electrodes are earthed, the same shading effect as obtained by the customary shading plate, consisting of metallic material, is obtained. Thus, the manufacturing manhour of the vibrator can be reduced, and the arrangement precision of the vibrator can be improved. |
