PURPOSE:To enhance sublimation resistant fastness and to enhance the storage stability of a color image, by forming a strong ether bonding by the reactive group having thermal fixing activity being added to a dye structure. CONSTITUTION:Ink containing an easily sublimable dye having metal complex forming capacity is applied to a base material sheet to form a transfer sheet and a receiving composition containing a polyvalent metal compound is applied to a substrate to form an acceptor and, after both of them are superposed on each other, heat energy is applied and the ink is sublimed and transferred to obtain an image. The dye is constituted of a color forming group, the skeletal structure thereof being bonded to said group and the ligand supply group being attached to the skeletal structure. Other than the ligand supply group, a reactive group not depending on pH at all and activatable by heat energy shown by formula (1) or (2) is introduced. The acceptor composition is of the polyvalent metal compound having complex forming capacity, a resin having a hydroxyl group performing the ether bonding of the reactive group in the dye and a dye receiving compatible resin. |
