PURPOSE:To prevent flickers based on frame a reproductions executed at a rate of thirty number of times per a second by reading a bit of image information alternately from a recording medium at every horizontal scanning period at a rate double as fast as the speed of the reading of field signals. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording medium 2 such as a magnetic sheet is loaded on a rotary spindle 4A driven by a DC motor 4 freely attachably and detachably. From the recording medium in which video signals are recorded so that a quantity equivalent to one field length is recorded at every track and that equivalent to one frame length is recorded in two tracks, two fields of signals constituting one frame are simultaneously read out in 1/30sec. at every time. And image informations representing two luminance signals and color difference signals obtained from above-mentioned two fields of signals, are recorded respectively in respective memories at the rate equal to that of the reading of the two fields of signals. The image informations recorded in said memories are read out in 1/60sec. at every time. As a result, flickers due to frame reproductions thirty number of times per second can be prevented from occurring, hence the image of high definition can be displayed without flickering.
