PURPOSE:To manufacture a floor mat for automobiles which is provided with recesses and projections along the configuration of the beads of a floor panel on one side thereof, by a method wherein a base material is arranged between a pair of dies stamped with the configuration of the beads of the floor panel, and the molds are closed, then, the dies are evacuated through a vacuum hole 6 provided on the surface of a die and are cooled under the evacuated condition, thereafter, a molding is taken out of the molds. CONSTITUTION:A floor mat for automobiles is molded by the following. Non- expandable layers are laminated and molded on both surfaces of a base body by an expandable core layer. A vinyl chloride sheet 1 of 0.3mm thick is put on the bottom force (a) of stamp molding die as a non-expandable layer and the vinyl chloride expandable sheet 2 of 10-15 mm thickness is laminated thereon as the expandable core layer; further, the vinyl chloride sheet 3 of 0.5-1.0 mm thick is laminated thereon to form 3-layer structure. Immediately after molding, air in the stamp molding die is evacuated through the evacuating hole 6 of the heads 4 on the top and bottom forces of the same mold, whereby a floor mat having the configuration of recesses and projections of the beads may be molded. The floor mat 5, formed so as to have the configuration of the body beads, is shown in the diagram. |
