PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction in combustion energy and the occurance of abnormal combustion due to change in fuel density by furnishing fuel quantity fed to an engine so as to be compensated based on fuel density thereof. CONSTITUTION:At the time of engine operation, fuel in fuel tanks is fed to a fuel injection pump 6 by a fuel pump, passing through a passage 82 formed in the cam shaft 12 of a governor 22 attached to the injection pump 6, being fed to a fuel space 72 in a flyweight 24 through a feeding port 74, thereafter being discharged from the fuel space 72 through an exhaust port 76. The substantial weight of the flyweight 24 filled with fuel varies as said fuel density varies with the kind and temperature of fuel thereof. Normally, as centrifugal force acting on the flyweight 24 varies with change in fuel density, the position of a control rack 14 is determined by a floating lever 26 and the like, thereby controlling quantity of fuel feed.
