摘要 PURPOSE:To improve solvent resistance and recording and reproducing characteristics by providing an underlying layer consisting of a mixture composed of a high-polymer compsn. contg. a hydroxyl group or carboxyl group and alkoxide, phenoxide or chelate compd. consisting of a specific metal between a transparent substrate and optical recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The underlying layer consisting of the mixture composed of the high-polymer compsn. contg. 10-70mol.% monomer component contg. the hydroxyl group or carboxyl group and the alkoxide, phenoxide or chelate compd. consisting of the metal of any among Al, Ti, Zr, In, Zn, Mg, Ni and Cu is provided between the transparent substrate and the optical recording layer. The metal alkoxide, phenoxide or chelate compd. which acts as a high- polymer crosslinking agent by dealcoholization condensation or formation of a hydrogen bond to the hydroxyl group or carboxyl group of the high-polymer compd. which is soluble in water or alcohol solvent being a solvent inert to the substrate and permits film formation is coated on the substrate to form the extremely thin underlying layer which is extremely insoluble in and inert to org. dye coating solvents. The solvent resistance is thereby improved and the higher recording and reproducing characteristics and durability are obtd.
