PURPOSE:To allow deliquescent solution generated by moisture absorption of calcium chloride to react with alkaline earth metal oxide and eliminate the deliquescent solution by preparing a drying agent with alkaline earth metal oxide such as calcium chloride, calcium oxide or the like. CONSTITUTION:Calcium chloride is blended and mixed with alkaline earth metal oxide, and the mixture is used as a drying agent. The suitable mixing ratio is one part by weight of calcium chloride to 1-5pts.wt. of alkaline earth metal oxide. Out of alkaline earth metal oxides such as calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, strontium oxide, barium oxide, calcium oxide is preferred. Said drying agent can prevent productions of deliquescent solution from occurring, as absorbed water content is used for the formation of double salt or hydroxide, water of crystallization and hydrate.
