PURPOSE:To treat slurry efficiently without clogging even when, for instance, a high-concentration slurry consisting of fibrous material as a solid portion is filtered by preventing the clogging from occurring only through reversion of the flow direction of raw liquid. CONSTITUTION:Raw liquid such as a high-concentration slurry consisting of fibrous material as a solid portion in a raw liquid tank 3 is guided into a membrane module 1 through a route shown by an arrow mark (A) by closing valves V-2, V-3, opening valves V-1, V-4 and driving a pump 2. If a circulation resistance of the raw liquid passage increases by clogging caused by entanglement of fiber during treatment, a differential pressure gauge 5 detects the increase and after detection, the valves V-1, V-4 are closed and the valves V-3, V-2 are opened, setting a direction in which the raw liquid runs to a direction (B) and reversing it to a direction (A). This reversion permits the flow of the raw liquid to be changed to a direction in which entangled fibers are unravelled. Subsequently the unravelled fibers flow out into the raw liquid tank 3 mixed with the raw liquid.
