PURPOSE:To provide a synthetic resin compsn. contg. molten metal uniformely dispersed therein and having excellent electromagnetic wave shielding properties, by mixing a synthetic resin with a metal capable of being molten during thermal plasticization in the presence of a fibrous filler and melt-kneading the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin comps. in obtd. by mixing a metal (A) capable of being molten during thermal plasticization (e.g., a Pb/Sn alloy, etc.) in the presence of a fibrous filler (B) (e.g., glass fiber, etc.) with a synthetic resin (C) (e.g., a styrene/acrylonitrile copolymer resin, etc.) and melt-kneading the mixture. The compsn. is advantageous in that it has excellent electromagnetic wave shielding properties, because finely divided metallic particles are uniformly dispersed as compared with conventioned ones. Thus, the compsn. can contribute to the solution of problems with respect to malfunction caused by electromag netic noise of electronic business machines or information processing device such as computers or exposure of the human body to X-rays radiated from TV, etc.
