PURPOSE:To handle special characters via a single keyboard and to improve the operability of the switch devices which produce the code information corresponding to the characters shown on each key top, by attaching said switch devices to the keyboard in a freely detachable way. CONSTITUTION:The switch devices 12a-12n are attached to the connection parts 13 of a keyboard 11 in a freely detachable way via connecting projections 17. Each of those devices 12a-12n contains a logic circuit to deliver the code information corresponding to the character shown on a key top 16 in response to the operation of said key top 16. Therefore the same keyboard 11 is also available even with use of special characters like Arabic characters, etc., by using those switch devices incorporating the logic circuits corresponding to said Arabic characters. In addition, the switch devices having high handling frequencies can be rearranged at the easy-to-handle positions. Thus the operability is improved with switch devices.
