The method produces the tube from an inner tube, an outer tube and a layer of foamed plastic between inner tube and outer tube. It involves drawing a corrugated plastics tube continuously from a supply, slitting it longitudinally, placing it around the inner tube and adhesively bonding or welding the longitudinal slit after filling with the foam components.
