PURPOSE:To always stably obtain a highly accurate image and to enhance the preservability of a recorded image, by using a transfer recording medium changing in m.p. or melt viscosity only when light and heat energies are simultaneously applied. CONSTITUTION:A transfer recording layer 1, which changes in the rising degree of m.p. or a softening point by irradiating said recording layer with light in a state heated to a temp. exceeding the glass transition point of the recording layer, is heated by a thermal head 4 generating a heat pulse on the basis of an image signal by a control circuit 5 while being irradiated with a light emitting means 3 such as a fluorescent lamp or a xenon lamp. In the constitution of this transfer recording layer, a combination of a reaction initiator activated upon the reception of light energy and a polymer forming component increasing the temp. dependence of the reaction speed of both of them may be selected. For example, the combination of a heat-meltable urethane acrylate type polymerizable monomer and the reaction initiator being 2-chlorothiochitosan or ethyl-p-dimethylaminobenzoate is designated and, as a transferable control agent, an acrylic resin being a binder may be added. |
