PURPOSE:To prevent high resistance and disconnection because of the crack development in electrodes by causing an electrode layer to be composed of an organic metal polymer. CONSTITUTION:An electrode layer is formed of an organic metal polymer material in the case of a polymer piezoelectric element which is constructed of the electrode layer that is laminated at a polymer piezoelectric film and the surface of the piezoelectric film. For example, the polymer piezoelectric element is constructed by forming organic telluride thin films having tellurium atoms and a carbon skeleton in a principal chain at both planes of a polarized vinylidene polyfluoride film. The organic metal polymer material forming the electrode layer are so pliable that they have superior close adhesion to the polymer piezoelectric film. Thus electrodes become elastic with the expansibility of the above film and the electrodes are free from high resistance and disconnection because of the crack development in the electrodes.
