PURPOSE:To prevent stored information from being damaged due to the rise of environment temperature or the heat self-generation of a bubble memory element by controlling the driving rate of the bubble memory element based on a temperature detecting result of the bubble memory element. CONSTITUTION:A bubble memory driving request and a bubble memory stopping request are alternately outputted to a bubble control means 8 as a control signal 13 within respective time periods divided in each prescribed period and the output time ratio of the bubble memory driving request to the bubble memory stopping request in each time period can be varied in accordance with a temperature detecting output Vt from a temperature detecting means 11. Consequently, the sudden temperature rise of the bubble memory element 10 can be suppressed, and since the element 10 is scarcely completely stopped, data transfer between a host device and the element 10 can be secured without being interrupted.
