<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a continuously cellular expanded material having excellent dimensional stability and also having an unexpanded skin layer on its surface by a method in which a rubber raw material is mixed with crosslinking agent, etc., and molded into an expandible sheet, and the surface of the expandible sheet is covered with an unexpandible compund sheet with degassing holes in the surface, followed by expansion and curing. CONSTITUTION:A rubber raw material is mixed with a crosslinking agent (e.g., sulfur, etc.), a decomposable blowing agent (e.g., azodicarbonamide, etc.), a volatile blowing agent of a lower boiling point than the bridging temperature of said crosslinking agent (e.g., trichlorodifluoromethane, butane, toluene, etc.), and other additives as needed to obtain an expadible rubber compound sheet capable of forming a continuously cellular foam. The surface of the sheet is wholly covered with an unexpandible rubber compound sheet having degassing holes 3 in its given region and heated in an expanding environment for expansion and curing to manufacture a continuously cellular rubber expanded material 1 wih an unexpanded skin layer.</p> |
