PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium having information recording and reproducing functions, being stable for a long time and having a higher recording density and a higher C/N, by using a specified tetraaminoanthraquinone compound. CONSTITUTION:A tetraaminoanthraquinone compound of formula I can be obtained by, for example, bringing 1,4,5,8-tetrachloroanthraquinone and the corresponding amine into reaction with each other. In the formula, R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are substituent groups at 3'-position or at 3'- and 5'-positions of rings A, B, C and D, respectively, which may be the same or different and each of which is a lower alkyl or lower alkoxyl, and n is 1 or 2. |
