PURPOSE:To permit coupling of laser light and optical fiber without being affected by the spreading angle of the laser light by disposing a combination lens between an exit port of a laser oscillator and objective lens for entering the laser light to the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The combination lens 13 is finely adjustable in the distance between lens units 11 and 12. The lens units 11, 12 are respectively installed in the positions apart by the distance twice the distance at which the incident laser light 2 condenses. The incident laser light 2 on the lens 13 emerges exactly symmetrically from the lens 13. Since the lens 13 is disposed at the mid-point of the exit port of the laser oscillator 1 and the objective lens 3 for entering the laser light 2 to the optical fiber 4, the incident state of the laser light 2 on the lens 3 is equiv. to the state in the exit port of the laser oscillator 1. The distance between the laser oscillator 1 and the incident end face of the optical fiber 4 is thereby increased without depending on the spreading angle of the laser light 2. The light receiving state of the same spreading angle and beam diameter as the state of the laser light in the exit port of the laser oscillator is thereby formed at the incident end face of the optical fiber.
