<p>PURPOSE:To switch and steer rear wheels to the opposite phase direction from the same phase direction in response to an increase of the front wheel steering angle by transmitting the movement of a link arm fitted to the rotary shaft of a pinion gear to the steering linkage of the rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:A stationary rack bar 22 fixed to the vehicle body side via a stationary rod 10 is stored in a housing 9, a pinion gear 20 provided rotatably in the housing 9 is engaged with the stationary rack bar 22, the pinion gear 20 engaged with the stationary rack bar 22 is rotated by the movement of the housing 9 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and a link arm 11 fitted to the rotary shaft 21 of the pinion gear 20. The tip of the link arm 11 is connected to a rod 12, the rod 12 is connected to one end of an L-shaped link 14 rotated around a shaft 13, and the other end of the L-shaped link 14 is connected to a center rod 15 constituting a rear steering linkage.</p> |
