PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of rubber by burying a ring reinforcing body in the engagement end of a dust cover, and engaging and locking firmly the dust cover with a ball joint socket. CONSTITUTION:A ring reinforcing body 32 is buried in the engagement end 31a of a dust cover 31, whose engagement end 31a is press-fitted inside the open end 23a of a ball joint socket 23. Synthetic rubber 31b is, therefore, com pressed and sandwiched between the insides of the ring reinforcing body 32 and the open end 23a, and hence the engegement end 31a is engaged and locked firmly with the open end 23a of the ball joint socket 23 so that the breakage of rubber is prevented.
