PURPOSE:To obtain a color image copying machine which has a high copying speed and enables a copy image to be edited by employing both reading and reproduction systems for an analog and a digital color image for one color image copying machine. CONSTITUTION:When a shield means 22 is rotated and positioned as shown by a solid-line, a light source 21 turns on and its light is projected on a position (b) of a color original 1 through a condenser lens 24 and a RGB filter 23; and its reflected light is passed through a fiber lens 31 and projected on a photosensitive film 4 for exposure, thereby copying the analog color image. Further, when the shield means 22 is rotated properly from the solid-line position and toward a position (c) of the color original, the light from the light source 21 is projected on the position (c), and its reflected light is guided to a condenser lens 28 through mirrors 26 and 27 and read by a CCD image sensor 29. Consequently, when fast copying operation is performed, the analog system is selected when image editing needs to be performed, the digital system is selected.
