发明名称 PRODUCTION OF MO-AL ALLOY BY ALUMINO THERMIT REACTION
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce an Mo-Al alloy having high cleanliness at a high yield by adding a slag forming agent consisting of specific ratios of CaO and Al2O3 to MoO3 powder and Al powder and effecting an alumino thermit reaction. CONSTITUTION:The Mo-Al alloy contg. 60-90wt.% Mo and 10-40% Al is produced by an alumina thermit method using the MoO3 powder, the Al powder and the slag forming agent as raw materials. The CaO, Al2O3 or the mixture composed thereof is added as the above-mentioned slag forming material to the raw materials at such a ratio at which the formed slag contains 10-35% CaO. The amt. of said agent to be added is so determined that the Q value defined by the formula: Qkcal/kg=thermit reaction heat kcal/(MoO3 powder+ Al powder+slag forming agent)kg is within the range of the formula: 7.0X(Mo% in the alloy)+200-(CaO% in the slag)>=Q>=5.8X(Mo% in the alloy)+235-(CaO% in the slag).
