<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a non-printed part from being generated even when a printing operation is momentarily stopped during printing, by providing a means for momentarily stopping a feeding motor, and a means for momentarily stopping the driving of a printing head after printing. CONSTITUTION:In a routine for feeding a paper by a one-line amount by a feeding motor, it is judged whether an operating mode is a continuous mode. When the operating mode is not the continuous mode, it is judged whether a count on an auxiliary scanning counter is a value indicative of a momentary stop position. When the count is the value indicative of the momentary stop position, data are transferred to data latches and shift registers 67a-67d, then drivers and heads 68a-68d are driven, and the auxiliary scanning counter is incremented by +1. Thus, it is experimentally verified that the delay of the operation of a feeding motor 41 behind the operations of line thermal heads corresponds to two lines, and a two-line amount of data is first printed after momentary stoppage of the feeding motor 41. Therefore, a non-printed part is not generated even when the operations of the heads are stopped.</p> |
