PURPOSE:To simplify the control of label paper and to uniformize a printing state, by providing a title memory storing the data printed on a label in every language. CONSTITUTION:The title 30 of each language such as 'Weight (kg)', 'Price (yen)' or 'Date' is set by the character generator of a memory 14 to be stored in a title memory 15. Next, the commodity number of an object to be weighed is inputted to a keyboard 19 to call out unit cost and weighing is performed by a load cell 21 to calculate price data and inputted to a thermal head controller 22 along with the data of a clock circuit 27 to be printed on a label 1 at a stroke by a thermal head 10. By this method, blank paper can be used as label paper and papers different in a size may be controlled and the printing state of the label 1 becomes uniform.
